How to Activate Globe Roaming

Globe Roaming or GROAM is a service offered by Globe to its subscribers who wants to go abroad while being able continue using their Globe Prepaid or Postpaid SIM. Through GROAM, Globe Subscribers may still receive and send texts, dial and receive calls as well as enjoy mobile internet surfing even when abroad.

By activating Globe Roaming, subscribers may still enjoy globe services but call and text promos in the Philippines do not apply. For calls and texts while abroad, fixed Zonal Service rates do apply which are a bit pricey comparing to the rates in the Philippines.

It is advisable to activate your Globe Roaming service 24 hours prior to your departure. To do this, simply text GROAM ON and send to 2884. Alternatively, you may dial *143# then choose Roaming & Int’l and select Activate Roaming.

While you are still in the Philippines, your request of roaming service activation will be pending. It will be active once you have reached your destination country.

So what if you forgot to activate before leaving the country? You’ll still receive a roaming signal upon arrival and receive a text message from Globe to give you an option to active your roaming. If you have received it, simply reply GROAM YES. If you ignore this, your roaming signal will still be active in just 5 days.

To make a call, simply dial <country code><area code or operator code><landline or mobile number>. Example: +639171234567
To send a text, just send your text message to <country code><area code><recipient number>. Example: +639171234567
